Tottenham Historical Society IncOrigin: A time capsule was opened on New Year’s Eve, 31 December 1999, 75 years after it had been laid down in 1925. The history it contained inspired members of the community to form the Tottenham Historical Society. The inaugural meeting was held on Monday 21 May 2001. Proceeds from the Year 2000 Committee, which was winding up after the millennium celebrations, were donated to launch this society. Membership is opened to any person who is interested in Tottenham’s history regardless of where they live.
